PRODUCT LEADER, Small business ecosystem discovery INTUIT | JUL 2019 - PResent
I’m currently building an ML-driven personalized recommendation system that helps small businesses get the most from the QuickBooks product ecosystem. Growing an 18-person cross-functional team of data scientists, analysts, marketers, product managers, and designers, while building product strategy and A/B testing capabilities. We’re currently testing our big swings for the year and managing a portfolio of customer experiences that drive $300M in services revenue.
Product leader, SMALL BUSINESS INTUIT | MAR 2019 - NOv 2019
Led a product and design team for QuickBooks Online. Spearheaded a trajectory-changing strategy that focused the entire 600-person organization on rethinking the product’s foundational user experience mental model. Rallied senior executive leadership and the full cross-functional leadership team behind the initiative, while directly managing 4 PMs and 9 designers whose work led to an all-time high PRS score (a 14pt improvement) and a 2pt lift in retention.
design leader, First IMPRESSIONS INTUIT | 2018 - 2019
Proposed, built, and grew a game-changing, multi-disciplinary team of 4 managers and 20 designers with a mission to erase the seams of our marketing and product first-use experiences. Grew principal-level individual contributors into design leaders, partnered with 6 Marketing directors and 2 Product directors to deliver 3 years of brand campaigns across end-to-end touch points, tested and launched a new business model, and spearheaded a new visual design language.

Developed a customer experience strategy for new user onboarding based on deep customer empathy. Rallied a 150-person organization (including a new GM and 4 separate product teams) behind our mission to dramatically reinvent the new user experience. Led rapid prototyping and build cycles to deliver $28M in revenue and a 2pt improvement in trial to sign up conversion.

I started GoodnightFox as a creative outlet to share my passion for simple vector animal illustrations with the world. As I connected more with moms of toddlers, I became obsessed with providing cute, simple, printable flashcard sets and learning materials that match their modern aesthetic. And as I learned more about Etsy marketing, I've been focused on growing my shop -- currently at 193% growth YOY.

I'm passionate about spreading design thinking methods across all disciplines. Along with two co-workers, I helped design and teach an intro course in design thinking for Earth Sciences students at Stanford. I was responsible for instructing the ideation-phase lectures and designing the activities to go with them.

Reinvented a multi-user onboarding experience while working with agents and customers to define a new task management paradigm. Dramatically improved the conversion funnel and drove $30M in revenue growth by enabling self-setup.
Senior Experience Designer Intuit | 2013 - 2014
Led design for Intuit Online Payroll for iOS and Android. Designed Intuit’s first payroll application for iPad, increasing mobile active use by 62%. Led two full-scale redesigns and added core features leading to a boost in app store ratings from 3.5 to 4.5 stars.

I provoke and inspire teams (both inside and outside of my working group) to create awesome products, aspire to bold visions, and dig deep into customer insights. Experience Designer Intuit | 2011 - 2012
As lead interaction designer for Intuit's small business mobile payroll products, I crafted 5 star features, brought payroll to the iPad for the first time, and lead two full-product redesigns across Android, iPhone, and iPad. I worked closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to build out the award-winning mobile functionality that customers love!

Instructor Professional Design Practices | Fall 2010, Spring 2011
I taught a student initiated course to my fellow product designers in portfolio design. The course was project-based, resulting in web and print portfolios showcasing student work. Students learned HTML & CSS, product photography, and participated in company tours at local design firms.
President Product Design Student Association | 2008 - 2011
I lead a student group of three to ten officers. Our mission was to support, enable, champion and recruit for the Product Design major. As president I helped facilitate several events including mixers, socials, career fairs, job talks, workshops, and portfolio reviews.

Arts Intensive is a three-week summer immersion program for Stanford University Undergraduates. I helped teach a class called Design Thinking & The Art of Innovation giving students a crash-course in design thinking and creative problem solving.

Part of the Answers Team at TurboTax, I helped bring a new in-product help experience to life. I created prototypes for multiple rounds of user research leading to our final detailed design.
